Case IH is one of the leading brands in agricultural tractors. The Farmall, one of the maker’s most popular tractor series, was first launched in 1923 and had undergone plenty of improvements along the way. Part of this series is the Farmall B, which consists of a smaller range of tractors that are designed specifically for livestock work, lawn care, and lifestyle farming chores.
Weighing between 2,165 and 2,370 kilogrammes depending on the cab, the Farmall 60B is this range’s heavyweight and is thus dubbed by the maker as “the perfect all-rounder”. It features a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that provides an effortless 57 horsepower and 170 Nm torque. It can hold up to 80 litres in the fuel tank.
This tractor features gear transmissions, a comfortable operator seat with ergonomic controls, and a range of front-end loader options. It is available in ROPS or cab, and cabin models may come with heating and air-conditioning as well as a deluxe stereo system with CD player for a pleasant time at work.
The 60B’s rear lift has a capacity rating of 1,850 kilogrammes. It uses a PLc25 front-end loader attachment, has either a standard or a four-in-one bucket and a maximum lift height of 2.9 metres. The front end has a lift capacity of 810 kilogrammes for the ROPS version and 725 kilogrammes for the cab.
Its dash panel lets the operator see all of the important functional data easily to keep them in better control of their tractor. There is also a full flat deck and a rubber mat to guarantee user-friendly working condition, and a deluxe adjustable seat with retractable seat belt for safety and comfort.
This model comes standard with a dry-type air cleaner, hand-and-foot throttle control, hydraulic draft-and-position control, front outlet valve and loader joystick, automatic lift arm, and more. Aside from these features, Case IH offers front bumper and weight as optional equipment.
The Case IH Farmall 60B is a hardworking, compact, and versatile tractor. The only con would be it not having a power shuttle transmission that allows for clutchless shifting, but it is something operators can live without.
