Overview & History
The Fiat 750 tractor was built by Fiat Tractor Company from 1967 to 1971 and was later sold as White 1470 from 1973 to 1975. It is available in two-wheel and four-wheel-drive variants. An updated version of the Fiat 615, the 750 was improved by equipping it with an OM 4.6-litre 4-cylinder diesel, making the tractor more reliable. Its horsepower was also increased to 75 hp. The engine features a liquid cooling system and direct injection fuel system.
With a bore and stroke that measures 110 x 120mm, the Fiat 750 has a higher engine torque and can pull heavier load compared to tractors with square or over-square engines. It has a compression ratio of 17:1, allowing the rated 2100 RPM engine to exert more power without consuming too much fuel. The 750 can store 78 litres of fuel in its tank, the biggest fuel capacity of a Fiat tractor until the model 60-90 came along.
With a rear lift capacity of 2,100 kg, the Fiat 750 tractor has no problem with carrying heavy equipment. Plus, it has a rear PTO that can run at 540 RPM.The 750’s gears consist of 7 forward and 2 reverse units. The 7th gear is capable of running up to 24 kph while the 2nd reverse gear can run up to 11.4 kph when equipped with 16.9-34 sized rear tyres.
The standard front tyres of the Fiat 750 are 6.50-20 for the 2WD and 9.50-24 for the 4WD variant. Meanwhile, its standard rear tyres are 16.9-30 for both variants. As for its dimensions, it’s 383 cm long and 183 cm wide.The Fiat 750 is a tough and hardy tractor, and most of its parts are easy to find at reasonable prices. One of the few complaints about this model would be the high maintenance, but this is to be expected due to the tractor’s age.
