Overview & History
The Fiat 60-66 tractor was built from 1984 to 1996 as part of the 66 series. It came after the 55-66 and preceded the 65-66. It was fitted with a 2.9-litre, three-cylinder Iveco diesel engine, which had a fuel capacity of 73.1 litres and can give 59.2 horsepower while running at 2500 rated RPM. Its torque can give 149.73 lb-ft at 1500 RPM and the bore/stroke measured at 104 x 115 millimetres.
This tractor was available in two- (2WD) and four-wheel-drive (4WD) chassis and had power steering as an option. Its three-point hitch can lift objects weighing 2,900 kilogrammes while running at 540/1000 RPM. The hydraulics system gave a pump flow of 34.5 litres per minute. As for its transmission, it had 12 forward and four reverse gears.
The 60-66’s wheelbase measured at 218 centimetres. It weighed 2,860 kilogrammes and was 363 centimetres long and 243 centimetres high. The 2WD variant had a turn radius of 7.3 metres and 7.50-16-sized front tyres. Meanwhile, the 4WD can do an 8.9-metre turn radius and had front tyres sized 11.2R24. Both variants had size 12.4-36 rear tyres.
Slightly more powerful than its predecessor, the Fiat 60-66 tractor is stable enough to do challenging tasks such as baling round hay bales and using larger, wider implements.
